Here it is, Monday. And I've written out my goal - on a large yellow index card - MONDAY JANUARY 27 - MY COMMITMENT TODAY IS: EAT 100 CARBS OR LESS. That's it. I've started off very well. 2 eggs, bacon, iced coffee. For lunch I'm having two turkey burgers with American cheese melted on top and some berries. For dinner I'm having a 3 oz piece of salmon. And around these things I will manage other foods that are either carb free or low in carbs.
This is MY thing. I know it works. I know if I was to go totally Atkins I would lose weight and lose it quickly, but that's a program I can't sustain for any length of time. On this program I can do 1/2 a cup of rice or a small potato (covered with butter and sour cream at that!) now and then, as well as some good rich chocolate. And I can sustain it forever, I just have to do it. And today, I start to do it.
