Hello 2014

This blog is a bit late and long overdue but better late than never.

First, I have a confession to make. In December, I really let myself go. I stopped tracking my food. I stopped eating as healthy. I stopped going to the gym. It seems like it took me over a year to build all these healthy habits into my life and only a month to undo it all.

I can feel the weight coming back on my body. My clothes are starting to get uncomfortable again. I don't like it.

So... now the question is, what am I going to do about it? CHANGE IT

Last week, I went to the store to get some groceries and was pleased to discover that not all of my healthy habits had gone out the window. I was still inclined to purchase good, healthy foods which is a relief.

Part of the problem is that I am too busy. I have a full time job, a part time job, EMT class twice a week, chair a committee, member of another committee, church and give bible study. Plus, I live on my own so I do all the cooking, cleaning, laundry, car stuff, etc.... it just gets overwhelming sometimes. Then, try to fit in time with friends and hope you're not too tired to go to the gym. It's exhausting lol.

It's tough to keep doing all of that and try to focus on healthy eating and exercise. Despite all that, I am going to try. I am going to set myself up with a time management chart and do all I can to keep to it.

I started tracking my food again today. And, over the weekend I ate pretty healthy. So, I feel like I am starting over, but at least I'm still under 300 lbs and at least I'm not starting where I did at 357 lbs.

So, hello 2014! I am going to kick this year's butt!!
