I didn't do all of the things on my list this weekend. I'm ok with that because there will be other weekends and I still need things to do. I kept pretty busy however.
Friday I made ham and bean soup and intended to skip the brewery and have a quite evening at home. That worked out until about 7:30 when a couple friends told me to come over. Three bottles of wine later I was back at home. *sigh*
Saturday I determined to be productive. I made a great breakfast (eggs, ham and a lot of veggies) and then got to work on my living room. I steam cleaned my furniture, re-arranged and cleaned everything. It looks nice now and it seems like I have so much more room! Then I went to the dollar store and got 43 random items for myself and my Mom. It was a fun thing to do.
After the dollar store I got in my cardio and weights. It was only a 15 minute walk, my slow day, but getting into a routine of exercising every day is getting easier. I also started a puzzle and quickly realized why I stopped before--it's hard! This puzzle in particular but I'm not giving up this time. Also started a new book and made a noodle salad for dinner and lunches for most of the week. It's delish!
Yesterday I tried my new yoga DVD and I love it! It's all about stress release and I did the videos focused on reducing tension in your shoulders, neck and back. So needed as that's where I hold much of my stress. It was great. As I do more of the video I'll let you know how it goes. Then I went to the real foods store to get some spices and items for my refrigerator oatmeal. I made one for this morning and it's quite good. I think I'll make it again for tomorrow.
The rest of my plans pretty much went by the wayside when a few of my friends were going to dinner, drinks and to see a movie. So I went, drank, ate and watched. It's so hard to say no to something social and fun that I want to do and stay away from drinking. I should have handled it better.
The weekend goal was to stay busy and I did. Next weekend I think my goal is going to be the same but I also need to get the calorie intake down. Hope you had a good one!
