Day 26 "When Food Disappoints You"

According to author Linda Spangle, if I'm looking forward to a treat and then I taste it, and don't love it, leave it. Like if the chocolate cake I'm dying for is stale and dry, throw it out.

I had this experience, not with a treat, but with fruit. I had a banana on Sunday that was slightly green tinged. I prefer bananas when they're just getting a few brown freckles, and they're sweeter, softer, almost creamy. But I ate it anyway. Maybe if this happens again, I'll toss it and reach for another snack.

Also, I like grapefruit. Well, I thought I did. Lately I feel like "nothing says DIET like grapefruit." I ate my grapefruit snack at my desk at work, served on a paper towel, and hardly tasted it. Not enjoyable! Today I had my grapefruit on a plate, arranging the sections prettily, and sprinkled with splenda...and I really enjoyed it!

    I never eat finish anything that I don't like when I eat out as I know it isn't fixed healthy like I would fix it at home and isn't worth the calories.

    Your timing is something! I recently purchased some frozen yogurt that I used to love. Did the recipe change, or did my tastebuds? Why did I eat it anyway?
