Sparkteam Bonus Points

Monday, January 27, 2014

This is a new added feature that I did not notice until this month, after I left my aunt's place. So I'm not sure how long its really been a part of the site. (Hard to notice anything at her house because she does not get internet service)

My question is: what are the points for, does the teams really use them? I mean I know that I get the points by it says to givethem to your teams.

Some days I do pretty good and get around 100 extra points from this, and then some days (like today) I only get 9 points.

I noticed yesterday that 1 of my teams has a thread where team members can post how many team points they got.

I like it because I am getting lots more points this way...too bad we can't cash the points in for 'real' goodies, like things in the Spark Store!

One's and Two's are still better than nothing at all.

I don't worry about the team points; I like them because it racks up crazy points for me! Last night I scored over 90 points in team bonus spins!

Team points are added to the team when you earn them, as well as added to your personal points. You can look at the "category leaderboards" for each team. Here is the link for Writers:

But you can also go to the right-side banner of every team page and see where your team falls in the team categories.

The team leaders can use those points to give goodies to their team members. It's also supposed to create a little bit of healthy competition between teams.

There are "leaderboards" that show how active various teams are. This should, theoretically, help people from joining too many teams that are, in fact, inactive. In practice it doesn't seem to do much, though. I had a REAL hard time even finding the leaderboards!! Here's a link to the Low Carb team leaderboards:

I noticed them right away. I have no idea what Team Points are for, but I get them, too, so it doesn't really matter.

I read down my Spark Point page every day or so to see what's there. That's how you find the differences, the new ways to get points (challenges, team points) and the ways that disappear (making an appointment).
