It's Time.

This is it. The Wall. I can't procrastinate any longer. Training for the Vancouver Sun Run, the April 10K event I've registered for, starts today. So I started. On the dread mill. Warm-up walk for 5 minutes, then run one minute, walk two; repeat 8 times. Sweat. But not too badly. Puff and pant. But not too much. Cool-down walk for 5 minutes. Stretch. Dry off. Shower. I can do this.

Rewards? Well, the log-in wheel gave me 20 points today--could it know I needed encouragement ; )? Tangible encouragement? Weight is down 4 lb from last Monday. Nothing to do with exercising, just more conscientious nutrition (i.e.: no more Scotch!!!)

And one more reward--I'm going to splurge and order Sun Run running tights. Haven't run in tights heretofore. Seems a little immodest, but whatthehell, whatthehell, they have reflective stripes or dots or some such thing front and back and I've felt a little unsafe running without reflection in the past.
