No sugar; now what?

The problem with being off sugar is what does one do for a treat when going out and about?

When DH has an icecream at the local store, what do I get?

When DH has a doughnut, what do I get??

    That makes it even more difficult for an out & about solution. I LOVE the froz fruit smoothies that we make at home....they contain apple juice, banana, and froz strawberries (alone and/or mixed with other frozen fruit) mixed in the blender & wala! Are their places that have fruit choices, when DH is ordering ice cream or donut?

    What is DH? Unless you are working there, it looks like somewhere you need to stay away from... just sayin'. I have just began to try and cut my sugar (as well as other things) and have found out that when I want something sweet, a little protein is helping. But not all the time, so when the urge just will not leave, I get a good juicy orange and enjoy! Complex sugars are better than simple sugars. Also if you are dining with someone, order some hot tea with lemon for dessert. This helps.

    I often try to make my own sweet treats without sugar and promise myself to have some when I get home.
Guess you could also take a homemade sweet no-sugar treat with you. There are plenty of recipes, if you need any let me know.

    I always carry a snack be it nuts, fruit or rains...Good for you eliminating sugar emoticon ....

    You can always ask them what they have that does not have allot of sugar in or HFCS or corn syrup in them
