Please pray for Honey

Sunday, January 26, 2014

My beautiful Honey became very ill last Friday. Two vets are saying most likely pancreatic cancer. Her lab work was off the charts and her age of 14 are the factors they are basing that on. I'm not getting an ultrasound to verify the cancer. At best she has severe pancreatitis and a liver issue. It's been a week of subcutaneous fluid given twice a day at home, pain meds and getting her to eat agin.

She feels good enough to jump up on the couch, her favorite spot.
We are making her comfortable, loved and fed. I'm watching for her to tell me she's ready to go. But honestly she seems better each day. I'll take all the good days we have left!

So sad!! But being a Pet Hospice is better (to me, at least, having experienced both) than having to take them in to be put to sleep... Pets are smarter than we give them credit for! Hoping your dog can make a turn around.
