Ahhhhh....That's Better

Sunday, January 26, 2014

I can't stand this weather!!! I didn't go to the gym yesterday (good thing...I would've been caught in a white out that lasted a good while!)...I feel fat ( I'm wearing flannel pants under my sweats and a flannel shirt over my sweatshirt...What a sight!)....all I've been doing is watching the Godfather marathon all weekend...I feel like a slug...no energy....
the only excercise I've been getting is shoveling the "lovely" snow....but, this evening, I went to shovel the walkway again, and...boy...is it nice outside...who would have thought 30 degrees was nice! so..I took a walk around the block...I feel so much better now. No wind, a nice walk, some fresh air..and I feel human again! I would do this tomorrow again, but, it's going down to -12...oh well...1 day closer to spring!
stay safe and warm everyone...take care!

I said the same thing to my husband when I saw it was 30 - "A heat wave!" Keep on, you can do it!

So glad you were able to get out and go for a walk! I am looking forward to 30 degrees again especially after all this extreme cold. Really looking forward to Spring!!!
They made the announcement on the news tonight to stay inside and stay warm. Chance of frostbite is definitely possible if you are out for just a few minutes as it is supposed to be -35 tonight. Our local schools all cancelled for tomorrow as did all the Pittsburgh schools. Brrr!!!
Stay warm and be safe.
Blessings and hugs,
Helen

I always say I'm a bear in winter. All I want to do is hibernate. Eating goes along with that. and so it makes it hard to lose in winter. So I'm right there with you.

Glad you got to enjoy - I'm fighting a cold (going to win!) and got out to rake pine needles yesterday - made all the difference in mood and energy level - stay warm!

I am long past ready for a normal schedule again - snow days are wonderful but not when they include SNOW, ICE, and subzero temperatures.

I felt the same way, this weather is so bad I'm tired of the freezing cold and all the snow. Calling for 1-3 more inches of snow tonight and tomorrow, with temps of 6 degrees with windchill of -15 or lower. When is spring? emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

So sorry for the weather. Ours was in the 70's today. It won't stay that way long though. It's supposed to freeze this week. However, we aren't as nearly as cold as you. Glad you were able to walk though. emoticon

I would love it to be 30. Oh ya, it was almost 40 this morning. We're in blizzard conditions right now and the temps have dropped a lot. Supposed to be way below 0 tomorrow....again. So sad when 30 feels warm. It does make you want to hibernate!
