I let myself fall off the rails. I have gained 7lbs since the beginning of the month. I have 39 lbs to get out of the 200's. My daughter has been doing the cooking, french fries quick foods. I think with her help I should be able to start cooking next week. She can lift the pots and drain them for me. I am aloud to start walking but Surgeon says to be careful that I don't bounce my chest. I just got the results that I had cysts but was cancer free in that one. I have about six months before they can do the reconstruction on the mastectomy side. We only have one plastic surgeon in the whole area so he is booked months at a time. I had wanted to be down 35 lbs by May but I think I will have to change my goal to 20 lbs. I see a new RN to help me figure out my insulin possible change it as my sugars have been quite high. My A1C went from 6.5 up to 7.5 this last quarter. I could blame stress, surgery etc but the bottom line is I know by now what I should and shouldn't eat. I just get lazy, need to get my butt in gear and start pre-planning my meals. I am using the first of Febuary as my weigh in day. I will go from there hopefully down.

    I do believe you are on the right road. As we have just started the challenge for February it will help you as I know it will help me. I have spend yesterday looking at some meals here on sparks and have printed out a few. I will start on Monday with incorporating a few new receipes which I am sure will help me.

Come to the group and post menu plans for the following week - we would all benefit from it - and maybe we can give each other suggestions.
