The trail mix 'got me!'

I have been having these healthy home made meals then I needed a snack and got into the trail mix.

It sure goes down fast! chris

    It's very unlikely that you "needed" a snack. That was just your habit, i.e., your brain pattern getting your mind to say anything and your body to feel sensations that you think mean you are supposed to eat. But they are illusions.

The trail mix can't make you pick it up and put it in your mouth. All the soups in the world can't make you NOT eat when it's not the right thing to do.


Don't wait for day you don't have the urges and thoughts. Say no to them TODAY! Please try coming on the No S team and posting after each meal that you will wait until the next one before eating. Then it's just a matter of a few hours. You are a grown up! You can wait a few hours to eat!

    I've been 'had' by dried cranberries, peanut butter, and roasted and salted pumpkin seeds. I no longer keep peanut butter in the house. I do have PB2. No way can I have roasted pumpkin seeds in the house (I bought them in error one time, that was a mistake) but the ho-hum plain and raw seeds I do have. Those dried cranberries, pure sugar they are, it makes me sad to give them up. They seem to ultimately have their way with me and give them up I think I must. Alas.

    When I buy things like that I measure them out into little plastic bags or containers per serving so when I really want them I allow myself one serving and not the whole bag like I used to do.

    I love trail mix but it sure does have lots of calories in just a little bit. I tried bagging my own but ended up eating more than 1 bag! I guess I just have to keep it out of the house! emoticon

    I agree . . . . portion it out. That's what I do. Then I leave it out on the counter. When it's gone, it's gone.

    I guess that's why Itry to avoid foods that are MY downfall. Best of luck ,its a thing that requires a lot fo discipline in my experience. emoticon

    Get those little snack bags and pre-measure it out in the amount you "should" eat and when that is gone-QUIT!

    I know how that works! I've done it myself by not measuring it out instead of eating out of the bag. Tomorrow is a new day!
