I woke up with a text message from Molly today. "Do you want to go for a walk with me or to the gym?". I checked the weather. Brrrrrr! 32 degrees! "Dress warmly because it is cold out. I will meet you out front in about 20 minutes" I shoot back.
So I layered. Tank top, turtleneck shirt, turtleneck sweater, heavy furry sweater vest, winter coat. Yeah, layers are my friend! I grabbed a pair of gloves, but forgot to take them. I should have worn my leggings under my pants, but didn't think about it. Either way, we headed out the door. I stayed warm except for my hands and feet. About 1-1/2 miles into the walk, I realized that Molly had ice in her hair! I'm telling you, we were cold! We did 5 miles, though, and it went so fast because we were together. She is the coolest daughter anyone could ask for. In fact, I am so blessed to have BOTH of my girls.
When I got home, I fixed breakfast of a scrambled egg with sautéed onion on a Orrowheat double fiber English muffin then started cleaning my "happy room".
Well, my happy room is still unhappy. Our nephew and his wife came down from Astoria (3-1/2 hr drive) and we visited with them. By the time they left it was dinner time, so Rich and I went out to dinner. We just were served our beverages when I got a phone call. Brian and Laura got 45minutes into their trip home when he realized that he had left his wallet at the house.
Rich and I told the waitress that we had to leave and headed back to the house. Brian and Laura showed up at about the same time we did, then we went to a different restaurant (closer to home and more upscale) than the first one.
We had a lovely dinner and are now home, the day over. It was a very nice day and I feel that we got a lot accomplished.
Tomorrow is another day and I am looking forward to church and maybe getting my happy room finished.
