Cutting my hair today.

Saturday, January 25, 2014

There are two things that become a visual representation of my inner well-being: my desk (clean) and my hair (over-due). Since I cleaned and organized my desk yesterday/day before – it’s time to do something about my hair. I shaved my head in September and by November it had grown out enough to really look kinda wild and crazy. I had it trimmed into a “pixie” before re-dying it voodoo blue. The pixie is now at a place (since I’m trying to grown it back out again) that I really need to do something with it – but wasn't sure what. I figure it out in the wee hours of the morning, this morning – I’m just going to undercut it. Well, hubs is going to undercut it, because I have a really hard time shaving the back of my head and he has years and years of practice.

So - you're getting a just cut at midnight, in my PJs photo. {LOL}

GRATITUDE LIST:
1. Coffee.
2. Organization and spreadsheets – so I feel like I’m at least in control of my data.
3. Pictures that remind me of beautiful memories and amazing people.
4. Cute things that make me smile – this may or may not include the cute thing that is running about the living room playing Rescue Bots.
5. Afternoon naps – or the possibility of warm, afternoon naps.
6. Having a doctor willing to listen and then test me – waiting for results is just part of it.

    My job is to be the best Mama I can to one of the most brilliantly amazing little boys in the world - so I can get away with quite a lot when it comes to my hair. I was the first woman to give birth with pink hair at my birth center - LOL. My husband trims my hair, so he doesn't seem to have an objection with it and when it comes to expectation of my neighbors - pfffft. I could care less. I don't think I even see a box (re: being outside the box) anymore. I try to live as authentically to myself as possible and that has given me some grand adventures. I shaved my head before my 33rd birthday and am now in the process of growing it back out. It's all good. Thanks for your comments!

    How aware and true to yourself you are! Your gratitude list hit a special spot for me - you treasure the small gifts. That is an art in living :D
Looking forward to seeing the hair photos - you seem free to step out of the box. I was mistaken as I thought thought it was face hair that men were most free with.
I'm glad I stopped by your blog :D emoticon
