Ups and downs

Saturday, January 25, 2014

I did good for 2-3 days and then I started doing bad again. Today has been good to far. I had a girls night last night so yeah that was kinda rough on the calories. But I woke up at 7:30 am and went to water aerobics. So I started the day off well. Not sure why my rhythm is bad lately. I think it's the weather, being stuck in the house is so depressing. I went to a 5 am class this week and yet again starving all day. Did not end pretty either. I think I need to just not to 5 am classes. They get me in more trouble for the whole day than good.

I have a boil on my back that is driving me insane. Never had one before, hopefully this isn't a start of something new and exciting. I read online about some stuff called Boil-ease. I went to get it and i asked the pharmacist some questions. All of his replies were "sure you can try that". Uhh ya I know I can, but should I? He seemed clueless. So I went back to my Boil forum and kept reading for help. If nothing happens by Monday I will go see a doctor. Initially when you look online to find out how to get rid of them, heat compress and lancing by a doctors office is the only thing to do. But searching more I found this stuff and salves that supposedly help. I guess I am lucky its on my back and not somewhere much worse like I keep reading about.

Week 49 wurzelbrot, swiss twisted bread.

Love your bread photo! Hopefully you are recovering from the boil, but here is a link to some useful information:

The weather is driving me crazy too. It ruins my good intentions!

I hope you are not getting MRSA. You might have it checked. It is epidemic in dorms, gyms, public shower rooms. They don't discuss it much but most medical people know.

That bread is so pretty. Beautiful!

It's the winter syndrome - your body is cold and wants food to warm it up. Plus the fruits and vegs never look as good.

DH gets boils periodically - he has a cream that has antibiotics and steroids, or something - but he also has had them lanced, and it's a quick and easy procedure.

So you had an off evening. Don't we all. Don't let that throw you. Get back in there and keep fighting the good fight.

Nice job on your bread! I'm having trouble too. The weather really has me down, plus with teaching I'm using all my energy and when I work out in the mornings, I'm completely exhausted and I can't teach. I'm thinking about putting in long gym sessions on the weekends and not exercising during the week at all, except today was so cold that I only wanted to stay under my covers all day. It's a rough 2014 so far. :(
