Water and cold weather

Saturday, January 25, 2014

This was week three for me. It was cold on here on Long Island, NY. Drinking my eight plus glasses of water each day was tough. I left my pitcher on the counter so it wasn't really cold, but still it wasn't going down as easily as I was just bone cold. I had a couple of cups decaf green tea, but not being a big tea drinker and really wanting pure water, this just wasn't doing it for me. I finally began filling my mug with the water from the kettle. It worked. It helped me drink my water and the bonus was it warmed me. My kettle is always filled now and even if I don't want to make tea. I can always get a nice warm cup of water and meet my goals.

Great tip. It is harder to drink water in the cold weather....and I am not an herbal tea person at all.

I'm here on Long Island too. In the town whose landmark is a statue of a bull.......

I'm in Montreal this week. .. Not supposed to get above 15.... Yeah, cold. But then I'm an Iowa girl so I know about these things. Doesn't mean I like it but it makes me who I am... In a way.
