Getting better

Friday, January 24, 2014

Vege-ing at home won't make me stronger. Today I planned to meet my trainer to see what I can do at the gym. My surgeon approved lower body work and walking so far. I had my expert watch me and keep my form solid. I got permission to swim during the interval of healing until I'm discharged to the radiation oncologist. I just need to wait a few more days for my incisions to heal.

I also had plans to get my hair done. I would have difficulty keeping my right arm high enough to blow dry my hair. So off to the stylist I went. I look good...almost like nothing was wrong.

I got brave last evening to look at my scars. Not bad at all. My surgeon did a masterful job.

So I am getting better. More snow tomorrow. Snow is getting to be a swear word. Enough!

I would think swimming would be hard after your surgery but I know I would want to be doing it, too. Enjoy that and having someone else do your hair.

You are doing amazing! I have always preferred no care short hair as my arthritic hands don't function well enough to fuss with it. Its very freeing! I bet you look gorgeous! So glad you are being cleared for some exercise!
Sending healing thoughts!

Wrapping you in healing hugs! It is totally emotional to look @ the scar, but you did it! It is a sign of the health warrior that you are!

Good for you for having a plan for activity.
