Home vs gym

Friday, January 24, 2014

My husband and I are in a little competition of sorts. He was able to join a gym and get a discount through work. I have chosen to stay at home and get my workouts there. My kids can be a good motivator. We have decided to have a friendly competition on the amount of exercise we can accumulate during the week. We could have decided who could get in shape the fasted, but that could lead to some hurt feeling and we just want to have some fun with this. So far he is racking up more exercise mileage, but I have more then doubled the amount of exercise I do compared to what I was doing before the competition. He seems more upbeat about working out now. We are definitely on to something here.

Good luck, I am doing my fitness at home, and I can rock it. As long as we all move, we are all winners. emoticon

Are we talking time spent or different workouts? He has the definite advantage in some ways, BUT you do not even have to leave the house and can make anything a workout.. maybe afterwards, he can share some things he can do at the gym so you can maybe incorporate them at home!! I think it is a great contest!!

Try a top on or a pair of jeans,, then try them on later.. see what has changed...

Most of all, have fun! Get that Zumba DVD out!!!!
