Watching news from the north....burr

Friday, January 24, 2014

even though I sit here typing this with the space heater warming me, I know that the sun is bright and it will warm up into the 70's today. As I watch the news I pray that everyone up north remains save and warm in the big chill. I know if I were in Pennsylvania I would have to be staying inside mostly as the cold hurts down to my bones!

I got the soup made for our sick friend and DH will deliver it. I also decided to not go to the doctor with my FIL and DH and nurse today. I talked to DH and said that with the flu going around I think it would be a good idea for me to stay away from places where sick people go. He agreed. So I will walk the dogs and finish decorating for the Super Bowl. The "Seahawk tree" is turning out great.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Good idea not to put yourself out there Sallie.
Look after yourself. We are a little cooler here
as we had some rain finally, but some places had
flash flooding. Tomorrow is Australia Day and
we will go out to celebrate at one of the parks.

Glad your space heater's keeping you warm when there's a chill in the air down there! It's absolutely icy up north - you're not missing a thing! I try to be a hermit as much as possible, detesting extremely low temperatures. As with so much of the Northeast, Philly has suffered some utterly brutal cold and harsh weather as of late, as you know...

Good for you, for avoiding potential exposure to the flu. You surely don't need that...stay well, Sallie! emoticon

We're having major wind gusts here in Portland but nothing like the cold in the East. Can't wait to see your tree.
