Siebold also says that our beliefs determine our actions.
If we think we cannot lose weight, we won't lose weight ( because we don't try hard enough.)
Why don't we try hard enough? Because we don't believe it will happen.
It becomes a self-fullfiling prophecy.
Successful people, says Siebold, expect to succeed. And most times they do!
Their behaviors follow their beliefs.
The beliefs are the cause - the behavior is the effect.
Sometimes if we do just follow a diet really well, we experience successful weight loss.
That experience then can change our beliefs.
Success brings about success.
