Today my Leslie Sansone workout DVD arrived from Netflix. I ordered the "Fat Burning Miles" DVD. It has four different workouts on it, so I chose to start with the first one: a 20-minute "Power Mile" that even included some work with hand weights. I really enjoyed the workout and I don't think my knees will hate me for it later on. Whereas it certainly wasn't one of the most challenging workouts I've ever done, I still feel like I got in a nice workout. At this point, I am trying to focus on little things. A twenty minute workout today followed by a big glass of water is much better than what I usually do when I get home from work: sit, and pour myself a glass of wine. I know it's just a little thing, but I am quite proud of myself right now. I like how this DVD offers four different workouts, too...I get bored easily with workouts and I'm glad I have different options.
I've also been eating MUCH better and I'm very happy about that. I'm pretty much sticking to Phase One of South Beach Diet...although I do allow some "carby" things on occasion. I've done this before and I call it "Phase One and a Half" :)
I'm feeling good. I haven't felt proud of myself in months. I hope to continue this.
Well, that's it for now. Time for a nice hot shower.
