where is the crunch?

Thursday, January 23, 2014

When I am being extra, extra good as I am for the Winter 5% challenge, what I miss the most is something crunchy. I just had to have a well toasted English muffin for a snack with a tablespoon of peanut butter. It was reasonably satisfactory but I'd love some crackers. Just too hard to stop eating them so I don't buy.

I like the reduced fat wheat thins and the Baby Bell light cheese rounds for a snack. One serving is about 14 crackers (more than I need with my cheese) and I sometimes eat them with my salad. Those kale chips sound interesting posted by the last person. We can find a way to get the crunch! emoticon

I recently discovered Kale Chips. They are really awesome and satisfy my cracker/chip craving. They are so simple. Cut out the middle stalk of Kale break the leaves into pieces. Lay out on a cookie sheet. Sprinkle with olive oil and a touch of garlic salt. Bake at 350 about 10 min until CRUNCHY!!!!They are great! emoticon emoticon JDawg

I like crunchy too. Two of my favorites are unsalted sliced almonds on my salad and celery. Both are crunchy and good. The muffin and peanut butter are good choices too.
