Hump Day Happenings

Wednesday, January 22, 2014

It's Hump Day..which means two more days until the weekend. I didn't get a blog done yesterday. No reason really except I was busy at work then later at home (after dinner and getting hubby off to bed) I got engrossed in a book, it was pretty good. It was the first in a series called Hawaiian Heroes, this one was called Walking in Fire. The hero of the book (and really his whole family) are the protectors of Hawaii, given that task by Madam Pele,Hawaii's Goddess of Fire. being married to a Hawaiian emoticon ...I could to relate to the passions of this guy emoticon . And yes Calen..it's one of THOSE books! emoticon I've picked up the other 3 books in the series and have started #2. I don't know why there aren't more hunky Hawaiian books out there. They don't know what their missing. Anyway..the author is Cathryn Cade, and they are on the upper end of what I like to spend on Amazon for e-books (they were $4.24 each). But worth it I think. emoticon You know...I read these so fast and so many...maybe I should start a blog about them?! emoticon

Eating yesterday was great! I made stir fry for dinner and that was mostly veggies. I used some Korean BBQ beef in it. And NO snacking after! emoticon Lets hope tonight is just as successful. I really need to be back on track for this week because on Friday I'm going to lunch (buffet) with my group at work...a team building thing...and then that evening a 1 yr celebration of a friend new kidney (he's doing great!) at Wing Stop. Never been to one of those. So I'll probably be over calories. emoticon

I did my workout, but I think I need to kick it a notch. Either at work or get off my fat butt and get back to the home work outs. emoticon

So that's be that for today. On to Thursday and one day closer to the weekend!

Loved the cartoon! It suits you. Now I have to come over there and get after you with my whompin' stick. Remember... I said I was going to do that the next time you referred to yourself in a derogatory manner. Ahem! Hugs, Calen~
