What a week! I've been working out at least 30 minutes for the last week. I stayed in my calorie range on all but one day, when I was out shopping with my daughter and didn't have access to healthy options. Next time, I'll plan ahead and bring my insulated lunch bag with some healthy snacks.
The last two workouts were grueling. The other day, I was watching the clock 28 minutes into my 75 minute workout! Ugh! But I grumbled through it to the 60 minute mark and cut myself a break.
I had to back off a little on the weightlifting last week while my back recovered. I feel just about 100%. So, I'll be back to a normal routine for my next session on Friday. I miss my lat pulldowns!
My reward for a successful week: a FOUR pound loss! That's amazing for a woman who normally loses 1/2 pound per week. Looking back, it didn't take that much. I have to say this again, planning my meals, down to each snack, was key to staying on track with nutrition. I plan three meals and three snacks. Sometimes, I skip the evening snack, which is another amazing point for a woman who's biggest problem is evening grazing. I know things will not always feel this simple, so I'm going to relish the feeling now and keep fueling that energy to keep moving forward.
