Woo hoo, DH fixed the computer

Wednesday, January 22, 2014

I confessed to him that I spilled water on the keyboard and that the keyboard was going nuts. He had a can of "spray air" and used that and we turned it off and let it sit upside down for a few hours. When I came back to it, it was fine and the keyboard working great. So I am a happy camper. I hate when I am clumsy and do things like that. Needless to say I am keeping my water bottle lid on at all times and actually keeping it on a separate table.

Sitting here watching the news in my bright sunshine and watching the news. Looks like many areas are hit hard with snow. It sure looks pretty. Hope you all are cozy and warm.

I am doing fine with cutting out two more meds that I have been on since June. So far so good. When I met with my GI doctor he said he couldn't believe how wonderful I looked. His words! Then he reviewed my diet with me and gave me praise for sticking with it. He said he wished all his patients were as dedicated as me. Well you all know from my blogs that I have been really strict with my diet and goals of not eating Gluten, dairy, sugar, night shades and nitrates. My GI doctor doesn't believe anyone with any digestive system issues should eat gluten or dairy. It's hard sometimes watching others eat things I used to like but for sure for me it's so much more important to feel good everyday. I am holding my own at 105.5 which feels good as well. So if any of you feel bloated or have indigestion, gas, etc., I highly recommend giving up the gluten and dairy. there are so many good gluten free products out there now that it isn't that hard. I am lucky that the community here where I live have many like minded people. People with a sense of adventure but it seems too that many of the folks that have moved here are into organic and gluten free. I go to the organic markets and buy the best homemade bread I have ever had. I look forward to having it everyday. I know some of the bakeries in the states now are baking homemade gluten free breads as well.

Well enough of that. I am thinking of taking most of the Xmas ornaments off our metal xmas tree but leaving all the blue balls and lights and then adding some things that I make out of blue and green(Seahawks colors) and decorate it for the Superbowl.
Woo hoo...go Hawks.
Have a terrific day.

It's only water. Coffee with sugar and cream might be different. I thought you were tired of your keyboard and wanted a new one.

Yes, you're very discipline with your food. Good job.

So glad your computer was fixed!
You are a role model for clean eating!
That metal tree would make on awesome year round decoration. I just read there is a Saskatchewan player on your Seahawks team -the first ever to make it to a Superbowl. A punter named Jon Ryan. Not too shabby for a little out of the way province. So Go Seahawks indeed!

Great job on the computer! No snow here in Florida but looks like the 50s are sticking around for awhile. We had a freeze the other night. So happy you have found the answers for your diet and you are able to comply with the restrictions!

Sallie, I second your doctor's opinion - I am so impressed with your dedication to eating right. I get upset with some of my family members who have diabetes and eat whatever they want, counting on medication to keep them healthy. It WON'T - not over time. So kudos to you! And kudos to your DH for fixing the keyboard!

SO GLAD DH was able to fix your keyboard with the "spray air"!! emoticon I have a cast-iron gut and only one dietary intolerance: anything sulfured, such as apricots or other dried fruit. I get some airways constriction with that additive. But it's so wonderful that you've not only become aware of your dietary nemeses, but you're also diligent about what you eat. Brava!! emoticon
