I made it back to bellydance classes last night! 2 hours of class with a total exercise time of 95 minutes! WooHoo! We are learning a wonderful number. It is complicated and oh so beautiful and yes, makes you sweat! My personal coach is there and she helps me ever so much! A few of my old friends are taking again, but so glad to have so many new ladies joining us! The bellydance community as a whole is simply fantastic. I've never felt so welcomed, so unjudged, so free as when I have visited other belly dance troupes or gone to workshops. I feel as I am shimmying my way back into life! My mom was my biggest fan of course and it took alot to get me back to dancing after her death, but I know she would want me to continue and to shine! I'm gonna do it!
Today we had our first (and probably only) snow of the year! Real snow that you could see (if you can see) fall out of the sky and it stuck to the ground! Not much, mind you, but enough to thrill my puppy girl! My neighbor called and told me Sassy was out in the snow running like crazy with the snow flying up behind her and that she was trying to catch snowflakes in her mouth. I went out with my phone to try and capture a pic or 2 and she would run up onto the deck and slide in the snow to me! We both ended up soaked sicne it was a very wet snow! But, I laughed joyfully and she was having the time of her life! I hope we do get some more snow for her enjoyment and my fun! Or, maybe that should be for her fun and my enjoyment? This was her first real snow! Sassy, my snow puppy! I just can imagine how beautiful her dark black self looked out there in that pure white snow! What a contrast!
I have a weigh in tomorrow. I hope it goes well. But, even if not, I have worked out every single day and have drank my water. I didn't make all the right food choices, but I usually was within my calorie range and when not, burned enough calories to counter it. We shall see....
I conked my head again today working out too. I was busy thinking as I did a walking video and ran right into a dorr jam! Ouch! I even have a little bump! I guess it is a good thing I am so hard headed! LOL! I truly am a danger to myself and others, but luckily others aren't always around!
Oh! I almost forgot too.... I am taking that writing workshop I told y'all about way back! A friend said she would go with me, so we are going and it starts tomorrow! It is called "Telling Your Story" and is a workshop on writing your life story. I'm so excited! I have this dream of becoming the next David Sedaris and believe me, I have the family history to do it! Hope to be able to fill y'all in tomorrow! Loving life again and so happy about it!
