Roasted Peaches

Tuesday, January 21, 2014

Hello Sparkfamily! You maybe have never heard of roasted peaches but this is a must! Mama used to roast these for a snack and we would gobble'em up in no time flat! Take a peek!

1 tsp sugar
1 medium peach
1/2 pat butter
0.12 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground cloves

Pre-heat oven to 350 F. Lightly spray a baking pan with cooking spray.
Slice a peach in half. Remove the pit, and scoop out any crunchy pit residue that's left behind. Place peach halves cut-side-up in baking pan.
Melt a small amount of butter - about half a teaspoon. Dot the peach halves with butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon and a pinch of cloves.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until flesh is soft.
Serve warm. Enjoy!

I hope that all of you are getting your fabulous 5 today(fruits and veggies)! Have a great day! Hugs, Rose:) emoticon emoticon

I do several of these at a time, wrapped in foil on the grill and I use a spash of almond extract and cardamom instead of cloves, and honey instead of sugar... OMG!!! Feels like summer all year around!

I make this recipe as well, only I sprinkle with ginger snaps or oatmeal and without the sugar. If you are making a dish for the whole family can mix the peaches, with apples and pears and add the toppings and you've made a healthier cobbler.

I'm loving your recipes. emoticon

I do something similar with pears, although I slice them thin and add some lemon and dot them with marmalade and sprinkle with ginger.
