As a fun part of our 5% challenges, our Dawggie team has MINI Challenges for fun to keep our team focused and having a good time.
Monday thru Friday this week the challenge is no junk food. I really need this one! During the holidays I did my best not to eat a lot of junk. It goes down so easy. Over the course of two weeks, I drank three sodas, indulged in chips and dips and ate cookies and fudge for pete's sake.
I overate a bit this weekend, by accident. I was not watching my intake close enough and after logging my nutrition, I was over by a couple hundred calories. I need better focus. So yesterday I rededicated to a WEIGHT LOSS plan! Woo Hoo!
What I ate on Monday:
Wasa Cracker with one teaspoon Peanut butter
One small Banana
One cup green tea
huge salad with shredded lettuce. carrots, celery, pepperocinis and a dill pickle
Light Buttermilk Ranch Dressing
Stir Fry Veggies - Brussell Sprouts, Carrots, Celery, broccoli, cauliflower and peppers
1/2 Grilled Chicken Breast
One Glass Merlot
One serving of Bran Flakes with 1/2 cup of milk and 1 tsp sugar
Total Calories 1375
A great day with the numbers. I drank a ton of water. My eight glasses were done by the time I finished the treadmill mid morning.
About the treadmill, this was my first long workout since twisting my knee.
Did 3.1 miles in 38:30. Not bad.
Add in two walks to town, 20 minutes each, one with the dogs.
Just a great day for eating and fitness overall.
