I'm not going to be able to make it to my Weight Watchers meeting tomorrow. I have a colonoscopy scheduled for Thursday morning and have to start the "prep" on Wednesday. I'm really dreading this procedure. I had it scheduled right before Christmas (my 2013 goal was to get a complete physical and I waited until October and there were a lot of different tests!), but I rescheduled because I was so busy and didn't want to be "down" for 2 days.
Anyway, without going into details (yucky!), I have to be on a "clear liquid diet" all day tomorrow and by the time of the meeting, won't be able to be "out and about". I am going to go by the center right after work and weigh in. I'm curious to see what my weight will be after not eating anything all day!
I've "stuck" to the plan for 2 weeks now. I'm doing well and really getting in those "freggies". I get at least 8 servings a day. I'm still battling the "snack attack" around 9 pm, but I have enough points to have my Weight Watchers ice cream bar in the evenings.
The main thing is to be prepared! After work yesterday, I had to pick up DD#2 from practice and when we got home, we went to the park to walk with my sister, niece, great-nephew and DD#1. DD#3 has been sick all weekend, so she didn't want to go. We had about a 30 min. walk on the hilly trail and my daughters played on the playground with GN and I walked around the loop trail a little more.
It was after 6 pm when we got home, so I made the girls chicken nuggets, corn muffins & steamed vegetables (I know, not the best, but at least it wasn't fast food). I had a salad and the vegetables.
Tonight I have to work the "hospitality suite" at the basketball game, so I'll be at the high school until after 8 pm. We'll be having Pizza Hut pasta at the suite, so I know I don't want to eat that. I'm not sure what I'll do for dinner, but I'll need to eat something substantial since I'll be fasting the next day!
It's still really hard to be prepared and make time for the healthy dinners and exercise, but I'm getting by. The weight loss seems to be going slow (see 1 lb. loss last week), but at least I stopped the upward climb on the scale and am on my way back to GOAL!
