Fort Apache

Monday, January 20, 2014

Today's movie was Fort Apache with John Wayne, Henry Fonda and a teenage Shirley Temple. Pretty good movie. John Wayne was not the main character, Henry Fonda was. A little disappointing but it was okay. At least John Wayne didn't get bumped off. I was surprised to see Shirley Temple as her name wasn't even mentioned on the DVD case. She played Henry Fonda's daughter who fell in love with an officer under her father's command. Her father was a little crazy and due to his poor leadership many soldiers died. At least Shirley got to marry her man in the end and John Wayne got to take over command of the Fort. 11,000 steps for this movie.

Today was a really nice day. DD had class this morning, I didn't so I rode up to the college campus with her and walked home. I was getting near my house but still wanted to walk so I kept going down the road that leads to my bridge. Well I didn't get far because there were a couple of loose dogs and I had to turn around. I was bitten really badly by a dog when I was a teen and I try to avoid loose dogs because I just don't trust them. Once you've been attacked you just don't forget.

Got over 22,000 steps in so far today. More than I should have but still my knee feels good. Will know more later since the real test is when I go to bed. Not sure why it hurts then but I'm hopeful that tonight it will be okay. Will report more tomorrow.

That is awesome!! (The steps, that is.) Just as long as you are listening to your body.

Have you tried putting a small pillow under it?

I don't know if I've overdone it until the next morning. This morning I felt yesterday's exercise.

    Your steps are amazing!
