I haven't blogged since last November! That blog was entitled "So That Was A Dumb Idea" and focused on my dumb idea to stop tracking my food at a time when my work life got super stressful and how that led to a ginormus binge and left me feeling like crap physically, emotionally and spiritually.
So what's the excellent idea I allude to in the title of this blog post? I joined BLC24! So far it's been great, I was assigned to the Silver Spies team and they are a really great, welcoming, inspiring and motivating group of folks!
This is just the first week but so far I am all in!!
My BLC Goals are;
1. I will drink at least 64 oz of water every day and 32 oz must be tap or still water rather than sparkling water or club soda which I prefer
2. I will plan my food in advance and track it everyday for the next 12 weeks
3. I will do at least two 30 minute strength training workouts a week for the next 12 weeks
I must say that the WEC was really a great way for me to jump start things for BLC 24.
I worked on my goals for a few days and feel good about them, I think that they are challenging but manageable.
The organization part of the challenge was my favorite! Each of the four days I batch cooked something different;
Friday I made Crock-pot veggie soup
Saturday I hard boiled a dozen eggs
Sunday I baked an oven full of Sweet potatoes
Monday I baked a bunch of apples and made 4 cranberry breakfast loaves
All of that cooking will make meal planning so much easier this week!
I know that when I don't plan and track my food that holds me back from reaching my goals so that's the one thing I really focused on this weekend. I successfully tracked my food all four days and found that it really helps to plan ahead what Iíll be eating and just make changes if absolutely necessary.
The veggie servings was easy for me, since I already eat 2 c of cooked veggies and 2 c of raw veggies a day.
Here's to excellent ideas and great support here at SP!
