BLC24 Goals

Time to refine what I last wrote and break things down for some shorter term goals. Of course, some of my yearly goals are far enough out there that I don't need to address them now. Progress toward #3, 4, and 7 will show by progress on the goals during these 12 weeks.

#1 - I will kiss the 150s good-bye during the challenge, and I will never weigh more than 152 again in my life.

#2 - I will walk walk a virtual or actual 5K in January, February, and March. April may or may not get done during the challenge.

#5 - I plan to reduce both cholesterol and B/P meds 50% near the end of the challenge. I want to be confident of the wisdom of succeeding at #6 before I change any other meds.

#6 - I got my PA's ok to wean off the Webutrin over the next 3 weeks. I plan to also be down to 10 mgm of Prozac by the end of the challenge as well, likely March 1. FYI, I have no plans to stop that drug ever. I've been on it and off it so many times, and my doc in SoCal recommended that I not go off it again. I trust her.

#7 - My lower body inches went up after the end of BLC23. I will have lower numbers for waist, hip, and thigh than they were at that time.

8 - Need to have kitchen, boys' room, and our room ship-shape again by The end of the challenge, including switching over from winter to summer clothes.

#9 - I have been so lax in my reading! Will start TODAY reading at least 3 days each week after the grandsons are in bed. (After supper if they're with their mother).

#10- I have also been so lax in my knitting! I will start TOMORROW knitting at least 3 days each week - same schedule as above.

Why I need to work on these goals:
Health. Mobility. Sanity in a 3-generation family.

Behavior goals:
Get off the computer every day by 7:30pm. Walk at least a mile, at least 5 days each week. Eliminate wheat. Increase vegetables to at least 4 each day. Work on having nothing but herb tea or water after supper. Participate fully in any team challenge.

My DDIL Scout is my biggest ally in working toward a Paleo diet. And she's someone whose judgment I trust in literally everything. I will be checking in with her at least twice weekly. And, of course, I'll be accountable to my Sunset Stingrays team.

I have a hard time rewarding my self, because I tend to think I don't deserve anything until something is fully accomplished. And finances are tight. But I LOVE my monthly massages, and it doesn't cost much to add 1/2-hour. So I've decided that's going to be my reward for any month when I make progress on any 5 of the 10 goals I'll be working on in this BLC round.

    Ooooh! I've been struggling with a reward and yours is great! I already get a massage monthly, so I can add to it! Thanks for the idea! Great goals! Yes, we all need to build that sanity bit into our goals! Excellent plan!

    These are some great goals.

I have never ran a virtual race. That is some think I might be interested in trying.
