Savoring the Changing Face of Foods (2014- Blog #19)

Made a nice breakfast today.. Sunday special - because I have time! Did not photograph goods because I was busy photographing my mountain instead. Over rich coffee aromas and the wafts of Brussels sprouts and eggs topped with parsley and a hint of Parmesan, my husband and I talked about why this ritual of making and displaying foods for each other is a nice part of our lives.

Foods are a gift. They nourish the soul and the body. When done with just a hint of art, it just tastes better! I eat with my eyes first - regardless of whether it is healthy or not (argh!) so the more I can focus on the beauty of the foods, the better. There are PLENTY of unhealthy gorgeous foods, right? As much as I love the presentation, I also love the process. Savoring the changing face of a food is a sport!
