21 Day Sugar Detox Complete

Sunday, January 19, 2014

I found this challenge much easier than the last 21 day challenge I followed. At the end of the last one, all I could think about was cookies and cake. I ended up eating both and way too much of each. I ended up craving it for three weeks straight. It was all I could think about. Sugar is addicting, right? Yeah, I really think so.

This time I feel great! I did have some cravings, but found that green apples with cinnamon did the trick. I really wanted to see if I could eliminate the cravings for good. I really wanted to see what my body felt like without sugar.

I think I have finally found an eating plan I can stick with. There are plenty of options for each meal and snacks. I have found favorites so of course I repeat those:) I often find with my favorites, I get burned out eating them day after day. So far going strong:)

Looking forward to a morning run and getting the pups out this afternoon!
Hope everyone has a great Sunday!
201.05 miles for the year!

    Good on you!!

Sugar is evil...plain and simple. Peanut butter is my downfall....but going for the naturally ground stuff keeps the sugars low. I've also re-kindled my love for butternut squash this winter.....roasted in the oven with olive oil, salt & pepper....DOUBLE YUM!!

YAY, way to go. I have avoided sugar as much as possible for 6 months. Now that I'm at goal weight, I am starting to add my chocolate covered almonds back into my daily calories with 7 = 107 calories. In the old days, I would grab a handful, but that was my OLD life which is gone, gone, gone. I like my new life at -30 lbs.
