Angry me - Has anyone else read the "Real women that love their body" article?

Saturday, January 18, 2014

What a total load of BS! SparkPeople has dissapointed me with the complete lack of understanding about the great community that they helped build. The next time the put out an article that makes me feel as terrible as this last one did I will be writing everything in ALL CAPS! Another fine example of people that weigh 110 lbs telling us what awful people we are and that if we had any sense we would be skinny like them. And the more I write, the angrier I get. Moving on and I will check back tomorrow to see if there is some real motivational material to be had. And if not, then I will spend some more time developing my own calorie tracker and cancel my membership here as soon as humanly possible. And to think I was going to sign up for coaching! If they are so out of touch, then I don't want this to be part of my journey.

    trying to find the article...
like someone esle said, there's plenty of good stuff here, you just have to overlook what doesn't resonate with you. example: i've been doing a lot of research into "real food", gmo's, and the effects of gluten. after all of this, i don't believe that gluten is good for anyone, not just those with celiac. however, a bulk of the nutrition stuff on here promotes the use of whole wheat. but i still use the sight for the multitude of other wonderful things it provides.

I haven't seen this particular article, but I will say that although not all of the articles are great, the site is generally very helpful to me. Nothing is perfect -- I can remember having some bad days at Weight Watchers too -- insensitive leaders or weighers, etc. But it was still a program that worked for me.
