Got Work To DO

Saturday, January 18, 2014

I'm busy cleaning house and doing laundry today. Putting clothes away I realize I have way too many I can no longer wear. I'm thinking about cleaning out my dresser drawers and closet and donating to Goodwill.

I have like new tops I bought in April last year when I got my job after being out of the job market for almost 9 years. Funny how they've gotten too short in length to wear without a sweater buttoned over it to keep from seeing my belly. Having a desk job has gotten me an additional 11 pounds. emoticon I do ST while working but I need to get cardio involved. That's not so easy. I hate buying new clothes. I also noticed looking in my closet I tend to choose dark blue and black. How depressing is that? I will work harder to lose the extra weight so I feel confident enough to buy brighter, more fun colors like my hubby wants me to wear. As it stands now I'm happy blending into the woodwork, so to speak, (I THINK I'm happy being there emoticon ) I really want to revamp my wardrobe come
spring. So with that being said I know what needs to be done and I WILL do it!

Clothes are a big motivator for me. Sounds like you've got a plan for getting into some fun new spring clothes - just as the Winter Challenge ends! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Can you do brisk walking on your breaks or lunch hour? I'm curious how you manage to get in strength training at a desk job. I couldn't do that. emoticon

I'm super fired up about the 5% Challenge, Today I got in snow shoveling, cardio, and some strength and stretching! (We'll see how long this lasts!)

Good luck! emoticon emoticon emoticon

It's funny, I am more likely to do cardio and it is harder for me to incorporate the strength training. I just started with that as my new year's resolution. The cardio, especially interval training will really help burn those calories and get the lbs off and you'll be getting new tops in bright colors before you know it!
