What I'm Doing Differently

I'm baaaaaaaaaack.

I joined Sparkpeople in 2009 when I met my future husband. Then I came back in 2011 after my son was born. And now I'm back to get ready for the wedding in 2013. To sum up, we have learned that Ms Bonbon doesn't do things conventionally and is definitely more prone to getting her sh** together on odd numbered years.

I've always been a tracker, but for some reason, I ended up on MyFitnessPal for the last few years with my neighbors as peers. They're good people, but I found that I was lying on my food log. Then, on NYE I found out they were too! I had to laugh, it was too rich. There we were slugging back champagne all tucked into Spanxx because we weren't being honest about our intake to impress each other!

So here I am, back again, and here I will stay. I've got Tracy Anderson's Metamorphosis Orthocentric and I love it. I've been doing her videos on YouTube intermittently for a few weeks, but am now committed to finishing the 90 days and possibly further. I've got a mini trampoline, which I think I'll do instead of her dance cardio most days--that ish is BRUTAL. I find it amusing that blogs such as The Angry Trainer rip on her programs when it's clear they've never done them. My fiancee tried to do the arm sequence on Youtube with me and didn't make it past the 4 minute mark-he's in great shape!

As for diet, I'm done with the extreme stuff. I just came off of Whole30, and while it was a learning experience, it cost us a fortune. I'm 100 miles round trip to the nearest grocery, and fresh produce is so spendy when you do organic. It might slow my rate of progress a little, but I'm just going to eat what I want and log it all--for really real this time. emoticon

I'm also going to take measurements and photos every 10 days. I took my first one, and no one will ever see it. Why didn't I do my hair or makeup? I look like a 65 year old chain smoking moonshiner the day after an all nighter in the woods with hillbillies. I'll have a bit of self respect and put my "town-face" on before my next shoot.

I hope to make some friends this time around. emoticon

    Maybe you didn't do your hair or makeup to keep it real!

Btw - I just logged every darn thing I ate. That was my NY resolution. Even when I eat over my calories - if my tracker is under - it's because I went over. Not sure what I thought I was "getting away" with by doing that! ha ha
