Funeral and food

Friday, January 17, 2014

The funeral for the director in our county was today. I went. It was stressful. After the funeral, I ate out of control. I knew attending the director's funeral would be stressful and I planned for the crash and burn day.

I'm giving myself today and taking it easy on myself. I decided not to beat myself up about it, so please, don't beat me up about it either. Thank you

I completely agree, beating yourself up is not the answer.

Definitely no judgment here at all. I'm in no place to judge either.

You will get back on track when you are able and ready.

I have been watching a programme we have here called Weight Loss Ward about a bariatric ward in the NHS - only a small part of the battle is weight loss, the majority is working through the psychological.

If only it was as easy as eat less, move more.

I've had my out of control days, just dust yourself off and continue on. One day doesn't undo the good habits we are learning.

No judgment here - I know what that's like.

We all have rough days. Just don't let it get you down for the long haul.

Similar things have happened to me too. I've just tried to get back on track the next day. I figured even if I did eat out of control "one" day, it was pretty unlikely I was going to take in more than 3500 calories and gain a real pound in that day. Sending positive thoughts your way.
