Since I've never been an AM workout person I have started to do the AM Yoga with Rodney Yee DVD after work when I get home. For me, this is the best time of day for Yoga. In the AM, even though it's designed to energize and relax me, spending time working out in the AM would agitate me getting ready for work. I like my time in the morning to spend time with the kitties, drink my coffee, get dressed, surf through some emails, listen to some Anugama radio and relax, getting my mind focused and set for the day. I don't think a change to my morning routine is wise or needed.
When I get home, however, it's a different story. I think after I get home in the afternoon it's a good idea to use Yoga as a way to unwind and release whatever day I had. By letting go of the day I can make better use of the afternoon and evening hours. I figured out that I can easily roll back the rug in the living room so I can have a hard surface under my mat, it's a bit weird with the mat on the rug, but one edge is not trapped under furniture so I can just roll it all the way back to the couch for my yoga.
With a little luck, some more exercise today and tomorrow and no pigging out, I will be able to make my weigh in Sunday morning. My plan to lose 5 pounds every month is more than reasonable and achievable. I refuse to start doing a 'this time last year I was' because that is negative thinking and I don't need to beat myself up about it. This is going to be my year in many ways, the other years I was just getting ready for this. It's already better than last year though, that I can be positive about.
Looking forward to a three day weekend. Really aching for better weekend weather so I can get out on my bike.
