Well, today took a very unexpected turn, but you will have to wait until the end to discover what happened. I'll begin with a few photographs just to show you what you missed when the internot didn't help.

Firstly, did I show you what we were making on Monday? Here's a sample

Next from Tuesday

It was a glorious day - a lovely walk - but as soon as darkness fell we had more torrential rain. Still, we were home and dry by then.

Wednesday was a very energetic day. Walking, gym, walking - and physio. I could hardly stand at the end of the day, but here are a few views

Now - today!

If you remember today was hair day. Except, it wasn't! Let me explain.

The day began with a bit of a surprise. I knew that I had an early appointment with the hairdresser - just for a trim and tidy up, but as I was ready to leave our son arrived to give me a lift. This was most unexpected, totally unplanned, and very much out of the ordinary. However, a lift was good - so off we went.

In the wrong direction.....

It didn't matter what I said - he knew best - knew a shortcut. A shortcut? It was definitely in the wrong direction.

But then - we arrived - but not where I expected! He had very cleverly negotiated with the hairdresser and moved the appointment to next week - so that today I could have a treat and go for a relaxing facial and massage! It was a belated Christmas present - and they had kept it a secret. So no hairnet today - hairnot. What fun! I'm still really relaxed and have had such a lovely unexpected day.

Tomorrow? Hopefully a quiet day. I've a lot of catching up to do. I'm sorry if I haven't read your blog - I'll do my best to visit in the next few days.

Onwards and Upwards, Sparkeroonies. Expect the unexpected!

What a great surprise gift. Remember how you felt after all the pampering, then when things start getting out of hand... just pause and recall the details of how you felt during and after your supreme pampering. It can be a gift that keeps on giving.

What a lovely surprise you got there. You are lucky to be able to go on these walks of yours without rain. It hardly ever seems to stop raining long enough here for anybody to go on a walk without getting soaked through.

Great stuff though - keep 'em coming.

And the pictures are lovely too! Just got an e-mail with two separate trips to just 7 days in London, the other is 10 days and it includes Dublin and Edinburgh as well. I have been pondering a trip to Machu Pichu but it might be more fun to come and see you and Miranda and the Queen and her corgis!
