The temp here keeps going down throughout the day instead of rising.. Still no sun,, it was a balmy 23 degreesF when I left for work at five am. It was 19 degrees F when I drove home,, at noonish.. It is still dropping and snowing yet again.

Today I am making that delish chicken noodle soup with Reames noodles. It is very easy, fool-proof and filling, nourishing. A perfect Michigan winter food.
DD told me I should just figure on taking a nice soaking bath this weekend, read a book, sleep, relax in the tub.. I have not done that in years,, never take the time.. but my bones ache this week,, the fibro is taking over in this weather for some reason.. I can hardly grip anything, I found some new nodules on my knuckles (arthritis) that hurt when bumped or touched. Every muscle and joint feels like the day after my first canoe trip,, the 35 miler!!! I think I will take her up on that soak. Nice Epsom salts Doc Patricia always recommends..

Awesome job on your rigorous canoe trip! I am really bad with the cold (my husband calls me 2 degrees, because I am sensitive to that much range in temperature). Cold weather IS painful and with your conditions and muscle soreness.....aaaaccccckkk! You just soak in that hot tub and do relaxing things like the doctor ordered! That doctor is a keeper. I know taking a day off is hard, because we all feel we're going off track, but we all really need it. I like to call them "active rest days".

Your soup sounds delish for a cold day like that. In GA we don't even know what snow is! Enjoy your lovely bath! I try to take them often, they definitely help when my bones ache!

I hope you feel better soon!

I live in Michigan also; my pain issues have increased with the weather, and it's also triggered sinus headaches.

Smart DD, telling you to take care of yourself. It sounds like you're really due for a nice soak. Might even warm you up from the cold Michigan winter!

I have not made chicken noodles soup with the Reames noodles before, sounds perfect for a cold snowy day! We are getting the snow on this side of the State too. Your DD is wise, must have got that from her Mama :)
