I spend most of the day at the eye doctor with my husband. We still don't know what's wrong. Tuesday, we have an appointment with a specialist in Miami, who happens to be the top specialist in the world. Not Florida, not the US, but the world.
Being stuck in the doctor's office did not exactly lend itself to healthy eating or getting plenty of water. We had 45 minutes to eat, and it was a 10 minute walk (each way) to get to the nearest restaurant. We all know restaurant portions, too, don't we? They're huge! And I didn't have breakfast. And I was starving, although part of that was lack of water.
Since we were gone all day, I wasn't able to get anything out for dinner, so another restaurant. I ordered the chicken and vegetables from the "Lighter" section, which was good. And the wonton soup had 2 wontons, stuffed (I mean stuffed!) with pork. So far, so good. Then I ate the egg roll. I haven't had one in a very long time, and I was still hungry/thirsty from the day.
All being said, I went over my calories for the day. But I didn't "blow it." Blowing it implies a defeatist attitude. An "I screwed up, so why even bother" frame of mine. That's not what happened here. I exceeded my calories, BUT I still have tomorrow. I know I'll do better tomorrow, because I didn't "blow it" today.
