Birthday Goal

On March 26, I will turn 35 years old! So when does the "feeling like a grown up" set in? I have decided that, by the time I am 35, I will be able to run a 10k nonstop. This has been a very slow process--I am not a good runner, and I'm extremely ambivalent towards the activity. However, at 30 I set the goal of running a 5k nonstop and did it (although was not able to keep it up...) so now I am trying for 10k. Perhaps by 40 I will be up for a half-marathon!

Steps I will take to achieve this goal:
1. Complete the "Ease into 10k" training app. (I LOVE this app! Highly recommend it!)
2. Map out my 10K course
3. Tell my family/friends about my plan and invite them to participate.

My birthday always falls on spring break, so I might be able to get people to join who normally couldn't. Maybe I'll even make it part of my birthday celebration - meet up for a 10K race and then head off to sweaty karaoke?

Step I can take RIGHT NOW to move toward my goal:
1. Run! See ya!
