So, yesterday I brought a healthy, pretty low cal lunch (salad with egg salad on top, a string cheese, mini bell peppers). I also generally dont eat anything in the morning. Don't judge me, its just not my thing, and this has worked pretty well for a lot of my "successful" periods.
BUT, yesterday was dumb. Maybe it was slightly to do with the run I did the night before, but by 4 I was HUNGRY.
By the time I got home after work I was STARRRRVING. I ate a half a sandwich. then I ate left over chili. and cheese. and chips. and chips and salsa. and chips with some cheese melted on top. and 3 cookies. and then I stopped.
I clocked in at 1900 hundred cal yesterday (estimate), which I'm not going to beat myself up over. I mean, I didn't order pizza or something like I am a little inclined to do when I am in the ravenous mode.
So. yeah. Lesson learned a bit. I probably need to start eating a little something in the AM, and then I need to bring some additional snacks or bigger lunches. I wish we were allowed to eat in our offices, I feel like that would make this a lot easier.
Today I brought some left over chili, a few chips for topping, 2 hard boiled eggs, and mini peppers. I'll monitor the situation and avoid DANGER ZONE eating again. :)
