Week Three: Big Pool Day

Today when I woke my back was on fire. I decided to take a mental health day and took the day off from work. It was much needed. I went to the pool to try to workout some of the stiffness. I did a combination swallow and deep water class. It was a good workout and I was actually sweating. I stayed afterwards for a balance and stability class. This was good because it was like a combination of stretching, tai chi, and shallow aerobics. Afterwards I felt my back feeling better. Yay!

I went to massage therapy and I didn’t realize how painful my lower back was. She did great work. I felt much better and asked if I could go to deep water class tonight. She told me just to go gentle and keep moving but listen to my body. Deep water was a good easy workout but I still did a good workout. The neat thing was with the fitness pool challenge “Dive into a New You”, I have four out of eight classes finished. I have to do this for three months, which will be easy. By doing this I will be entered in to a drawing for an annual plus exercise pass, second play is 12 exercise classes for free with aqua exercise equipment, and third place is a 12 exercise class pass. I really want to win that annual pass.

My plan for the day was just going to deep water class and instead I went to combo water aerobics, balance and stability water class, and deep water aerobics. I stayed within my calorie range eating and have had all my water, vitamins, and minerals for the day. It was a great day health day.

    Wow, you had a great day it sounds like.
I have not done any water type classes, I'm still trying to convince myself to start swimming again that it will be much better for my back.
