Relief and Gratitude.

Last night, I was so stressed about my husband's situation...what would become of us...what would this do to him...what would we have to do to get through this. My husband is in a highly specialized field of carpentry, so we were really worried that he would A) find a job at all, and B) that it would pay what we needed it to pay. Today, the thought popped into my head: what if he found something EVEN BETTER. Then just a couple hours later, he texted me to tell me he was meeting with this guy from a company right here in town.
My husband has a new job and he will start on Monday. I cannot believe it! He's going to be working right here in town, not 40+ minutes away. His boss wrote him the most STELLAR letter of recommendation I've ever seen...and all of it was true down to the last drop. I even emailed a copy of it to my parents so they could read it. My husband is the hardest worker, most detail-oriented person I have ever met...until it comes to wiping up sticky things off the counter and little "husbandy" things like that. Then he is "forgetful." But in all seriousness, he is a great employee and anyone would be thrilled to have him.
I'm so happy for him, and I'm so relieved for us. If he has to lose his job, I'm SO THANKFUL and SO GRATEFUL he found another one right away. He leaves the old job on Friday and starts the new one on Monday. Words cannot describe how thankful and grateful and relieved I am.
