Seeking the golden ring

Tuesday, January 14, 2014

I have had to spend some serious time reviewing what I am doing overall to see what I can tweak to reset my brain and I think I have found it.

What I need is a new target. You see, my big goal was to surprise my family at Christmas with the New Me! That went off perfectly, but I began to seriously flounder after that with food, exercise, and depression. It took some major soul searching, but I believe I have found my new target. Chaperoning Prom!

I know that sounds crazy, but if I meet my goal, I get a new dress and shoes, and I will allow myself to have new pictures done, as well. As part of that, I will donate all my old dressy wear to Cinderella's Closet.

Sounds like a great plan! I think when we get that much positive affirmation from our family and friends, we get complacent, like hey I've got this under control. When in reality we will be fighting to maintain the rest of our lives...and that's a good thing. Our health is worth it. We have this notion that skinny people don't have to work at it and in reality most do. I love the idea of a new dress, shoes and pictures! What a great reward!

What does that mean"chaperoning prom". We don't have proms in Australia and chaperoning is an activity here that nobody does any more.
It does not sound very strenuous unless... I visualise you running around after young people stalking them behind bushes and trying not to be seen. I can't imagine how this activity is done.

THIS is SO AWESOME! YOU are beyoind inspiring to me!

I don't think that your goal is at all silly, and your choice of recipients is inspired.

THANK YOU for this uplifting moment to my day!
