Walked home today. It has been 3 weeks since the last time I walked home and even though I continued to walk both outside and inside during that time I was still slightly out of shape for the hills that are in the route I walk home. I actually had to stop a couple of times to catch my breath because my heart was pumping so hard. Wow, what a workout but it felt great. And it was weird - have you ever felt like you were moving in slow motion? Well that is exactly how I felt walking home. I wore my hiking boots because of the snow but my feet were KILLING ME in those boots. I will not be wearing them tomorrow or ever again unless it snows a ton again. I couldn't get them off fast enough by the time I finally arrived home and I didn't think I could stand on my feet ever again they hurt that bad. But after about 30 minutes I was raring to go again and I ended up doing my last 2,000 steps while finishing "The African Queen" in the basement. Good movie. Up next "Eragon" which I have never seen before.
For dinner tonight I had a huge salad of mixed greens. Really getting into the salad thing. Had my cup of black beans (my personal favorite) on top and DD had a single sardine left from her lunch so I chopped it up and added to my salad too. Well guess what does not taste good together? Yep, sardines and beans. Ate it anyway but I certainly learned not to do that ever again.
