Day 12

Lost 3lb last week so almost back to pre Christmas weight. Frustrating day waiting to get central heating fixed. Men came but couldn't do anything. They are coming back tomorrow.
I had the oven on to keep the kitchen warm so I cooked roast dinner and made a plum crumble using some plums and oats that my son had bought and not used. This was for my husband, who wolfed it down. I won't have any as it has too much sugar and butter. Today I had almonds with cottage cheese for lunch. At first I didn't think it had satisfied my hunger but then I got distracted and realised it had worked! No munchies.
And that's it. Just a day waiting. Tomorrow I am off to dentists and in the evening out to the theatre. I shall have two long walks tomorrow to make up for today.
Just thought about this and realised I can do some seated exercise today, so no excuses.
I have been nudging towards 40 loss for about a month now and I have to really up my game.

    That's really great! I found that with my chilli yesterday - I was onvinced I was still hungry but half an hour, some water and some distractions and i realised I was really full!

    I'm doing this 20 minute chair optional yoga YouTube video and it is really good! There are so many options for chair exercises and they are not to be poo-pooed. They are great!

Good job on feeding the crap (er crumble) to your DH.

Why is it that repair men can't simply stop screwing around and arrive on time, do the job and that's that? I think they like to string out the time so that they get paid for 2 days work when all they did was 1/2 hr each day.

    Sorry to hear the heating is still not in good working order. The roast dinner sounds good. I have black beans in the crock pot with some left over ham. I love cottage cheese and, like both you and Sassy am always amazed at how little it really takes to satisfy and fill me up. My mom is eating it with walnuts now, as Sassy has suggested and that's become her standard breakfast now instead of oatmeal. She says it keeps her satisfied until lunch.

We're having gale force winds. Blew open the new storm door I had finished putting up and knocked the cover off the outside entry light. No real damage as the cover was not broken but a small tear in the screen. Had to show my mom how to use the lock one more time. Also encountered a string of Christmas lights on my walk this morning. Must have blown off someone's roofline.

    You are doing so well. I find it amazing that cottage cheese is so satisfying. Sometimes I also add a spoonful of ground flaxseed for extra protein.
