Last week was my first week back. Normally I start with exercise first and that helps me get motivated to eat healthier. For some reason it's the reverse this time. I have NO desire to get my behind up and moving. So last week I worked on my food intake. Made healthier meals, investigated some healthier snacks, tracked my food and counted my calories.
Worked well because I lost 3lbs!
This week I'm adding in steps. My treadmill has broken since the last time I was on SP. That, along with cold, wet, winter weather might be what is keeping me from getting my exercise in. I've set the goal to get 6,000 steps in today, 6,500 for tomorrow, 7,000 for Wednesday and increase each day by 5oo steps until I reach 10,000 steps.
To do this I'm making small changes; not asking my kids to go get something for me, do it myself! Park a little further away, pull out my Walk Away the Pounds DVD, get up and play more with the kids.
Need to work my way up to bigger, longer workouts....I have a HUGE goal coming up!
