Quiet Day

Sunday, January 12, 2014

My plans for today changed.
I didn't get back from the day trip until after 1 AM today. It was nearly 2 AM when I got to bed.
I went to Church.
I was advised not to visit my friend as she is suffering from ICU psychosis.
I didn't visit my daughter because I didn't think 3 hr. behind the wheel was wise after having little sleep.
I picked up a few things at the grocery store and came home and took a nap.
I did some reading, watched figure ice skating and spent time on the computer.

It is hard to take time to rest if you are used to being on the go. But you made church which always centers my week. God bless.

I just lifted your friend in prayer --- may he/she enjoy a measure of peace & comfort & calm from the hand of the Lord.

I think your day sounds peaceful --- sometimes we need what I call a "laidback" day.

    God bless!

Since I hadn't heard of ICU psychosis before, I looked it up. My oldest son is wondering if he had that a while during his hospitalization in Namibia when he was in the Peace Corps. Possibly since he did try to leave the hospital with out being released and was very distraught for a while. (This was his only hospitalization since he was born, so it was more upsetting than for someone who is used to hospitalizations.)
